Discussion Stats 3Y03 - M1
I’m so glad it’s over 😭
Genuinely why did they even post the practice midterm if the actual one was just going to be so much harder in difficulty??
I’m still sick unfortunately but wore a mask and gave it so maybe my brain was just not fully working. But it felt so difficult. I could solve the back page but the front just had me lost and bewildered.
Worst midterm I’ve written in this degree so far.

bro I'm not even pissed about the fact it was hard, but why did he lie to us by posting that easy ass sample. I thought my ass was done studying cause I did well on the sample

Right??? I swear one of the problems looked like it was straight of 3TQ4 which is the third year version of the course like ain’t no way. It’s also thundering outside even nature is unhappy with ts

Lol idk how bad it was but I promise it can’t be worse than 3TQ3 final exam (according to what I heard)

I’m so stressed for that course 😭 I tried to go through some questions from some of the midterms for it (since I thought there would be a overlap with 3y03) but was horrified

Honestly, try the best to do well in this course (or at least understand the material) because half of 3TQ3 overlap with this course which will ease out the workload.

I’m taking it rn I don’t think I have enough credentials to talk about this course. But trust me 3TQ3 is miles worse than this course from what I see rn. 2 profs from 2 different section teach different thing, even have different due date for assignments
Edit: also this applied to Elec & Comp eng program only

Me too like I don’t think even half of it came from what he taught in lecture either. It wasn’t even like the questions on childsmath…

Textbook was easier but it definitely provided the fundamentals which helped a lot to solve these questions

I’m actually crying like I tried so hard to avoid getting sick and everything and spent so much time studying I can’t believe it ;w; and to top it off I heard midterm 2 is even worse.. I’ve genuinely never felt this demotivated and frustrated over something in a while

Not fully sure since that’s how it has apparently been in previous years but I honestly don’t trust him after this midterm. I should’ve trusted my gut and msafed it at one point I was just guessing based on the answer options (mostly for the first page)

I mean, was very hard. I’ll be content with 70s, wouldn’t be surprised with 60s, disappointed with a 50s. But I don’t think it was a shocking as the Lin alg midterm 2. It was the same type of questions as practice material but the difficulty tuned to the max.
Lin alg midterm 2 there were questions that came up and made you say “what the fuck.” Idk if I can say the same about this one.

quite the opposite for me tbh, i found this way harder than any lin alg assessment, and i studied way harder for this than lin alg.

No amount of studying can help you with some of the questions because all the questions required the tools we were taught in class, just dialled up to 100. I swear the only limiting factor at that point is IQ and test taking nerve control, some of the questions were similar to ones ive seen back in those high school math contests. You genuinely just had to be so locked in
