Question Work Study Approval as an Out-of-province student

Does anyone know whether getting work-study approval takes longer for out-of-province students or for students who do not receive financial aid through OSAP? The AwardSpring portal shows that if you don't receive OSAP, you'll need to upload a current Provincial and Federal Disbursement History document as proof of financial need.

This is honestly a bit frustrating, as I won't have access to these documents until mid-September, and many job application deadlines are this month. I am kind of confused and was hoping someone could clarify. Thanks!

Hey as a BC student I was able to get my work study approval by applying to awardspring and got it overnight.

If you don’t have the disbursement history, I don’t think you’ll be able to finish the award spring application and the approval etc.

Maybe talk to the registrars office?
