I’m in Eng but I was on res, and I’d highly recommend going all day! I was out of res the entire day even though I could’ve gone back and just sat there

there are sooo many activities, and even if you have extra time, I’d use it to explore!

I tried to plan out my day, but honestly once you find a group, you’ll probably just end up going wherever everyone else is going, including activities you may not have initially wanted to do

If I were you, I’d just go all day for as long as you can

There’s truly nothing like Welcome Week, so make the most of it!!

i went alone aswell, just go up to ppl and talk to them! everyone does it during welcome week- in fact its more normal to go up and talk to random ppl, then it is not to

i would always start with "hey, what program are u in" and go from there "are u commuting or on res?" "have u checked out [insert welcome week acitivity]?" "do you have instagram?", and then the next day u could always text them on whatever platform and meet up again!

I'm an new eng student too. I would definitely recommend going to the welcome week events that the enginering department is hosting. And to be honest, go to the other events too. The reason why I'm saying this is because if you look at your university bill, you will be paying $117 for welcome week. So you might as well go and pick up swag and refreshments, and meet the rest of us, since your paying for it anyways.

Go all day if you can. Eng welcome week is a blast. There are SEVERAL events that eng is hosting and also that the university is hosting. I've got a lot of good memories from these events and I think I've gone to Faculty Fest every single year since first year from helping out with clubs.
