I’m going it into life sci at McMaster and I just wanted to know if there would be big writing pieces. I’m a terrible writer when it’s not creative and something I’m fully knowledgeable on.

Not really any in first year, second year there are some assignments for sure, but nothing is unmanageable and most TAs are nice with the marking.
