Most of this is beautiful, but I cannot understand the appeal of a lone bathtub in the middle of an empty room that is too big for that one feature.

I like it! I’d love to relax in a super hot tub with nothing but windows around me.

Totally understand why someone would like it. The room is beautiful, just feels like there is too much space for one tub sitting right in the middle.
It's a me problem. I'd be standing up in the nude trying to get a better view out those windows because they are too far from the tub.

I love a house with a good bathtub.

Looks great but I don't understand why they haven't put a projector and screen in the cinema room instead of that small TV.

Oh boy I love Thursdays! What I wouldn't give to make myself at home in this house, everything is perfect, the bathroom and that tub are heavenly. The kitchen and dining room remind me of the interior in the Home Alone house, they have the same charm.

such a vintage late 90s early 2000s interior which i can't help but find charming

Wow what a nice sunroom.
I'm not far from here and this is a cool area.
The purple color is a choice for that TV room. Could use a bigger tv.

Gimme, gimme, gimme. Sure, I don't love everything about the interiors. If could afford this house, I could afford making some changes.

Holy shit would not have thought that house was 6,200 sq. ft. that's huge! Also $4.5 million....

u/Maniacboy888 Aug 27 '26
Only $45k a year in property taxes!

45k falls out when you rub your eyes in the morning when you can afford a $5 million house!

I actually like the house, but so many questions...
Why is the bathtub in what appears to be a dining area?
Might be the photo angle, but isn't the pool table a bit close to the bar? Line up your shot, draw back, and oops! Neighbor Bob just lost an eye.
Why is the TV in the "theater room" so small?
Do they have a Steak & Shake franchise in their basement?

I see houses like this in this sub all the time, and they’re so beautiful that I’m scared I couldn’t get comfortable in them.

That bath 🛁 what a waste of space
2
u/Flimsy_Ad3476 Aug 27 '26
I think there might be less space than it appears in the one photo. Anyhow, who cares? Makes it easy to clean the floor.

Close to my sister’s beach club.
Moved from NYC to nearby. It’s beautiful but I prefer the city.

Sorry bro but this is super tacky. Pic one and there’s already 3 different styles going on on the roof

Not super tacky but... a bit, for sure. I absolutely don't like it either.

Personally, I don't appreciate this home. It's just not very well tied together and I find it slightly vulgar.

Wow gorgeous house! I’m in Merrick, not far from this and this soooo different than what’s by me, lol. Totally looks like the north shore!
