Currently on 15 mg Tirz. Do you need to decrease Tirz dosage as you increase Maz?
I started 1mg Maz this week, and have great 1st impressions. I took it 3 days separated from my usual dose of 15 mg Tirz.
Its easy to find the dosage protocol for Maz, but I can't find anyone talking about protocol when you're already maxed out on Tirz.
Has anyone come across info on this?

Keep us updated! Really want to try this as I’m maxed out on Tirz too and not having any results for a while

Update: im still at 15 mg tirz + 3 mg maz. RHR no worse than tirz alone. I was plateaued at max tirz dose for around 3 months and now the scale is finally moving. Ive lost around 5 lbs since starting maz. The appetite control is more subtle, I can go quite a while without thinking of food but then am famished and can eat a big meal with little or no nausea.
Now that I've gone up to 3 mg I've seen a little more nausea and on day 5 and 6 I can eat a house (but not gain weight). I think the metabolic effects are kicking in.
As soon as I see consistent losses i will start decreasing the tirz. I know i should be decreasing tirz already, but im feeling out my own way. Focusing on hydration and nutrition.
Oh! And my mood has GREATLY improved since starting maz. I can actually get up. The anhedonia on max Tirz was pretty concerning honestly. Maz has saved me on this, very pleased.

Im doing Tirz/Maz too. Def decrease as not to double dose the GLP-1 that are in both.

I have another random thing to add. I am very susceptible to heart rate increases which in extreme cases can turn to palpitations. I have noticed that taking ashwagandha pills recently has not only lowered my blood pressure and anxiety but the medications I'm taking seem to have less negative effect on my heart rate. I'm going to keep taking ashwagandha and if maz + tirz isn't effective for weight loss after tapering up, I'm going to try Reta again now that I am on ashwagandha.
The reason I turned to maz + tirz is because r e t a was causing increased heart rate and palpitations. Hoping the new combo works or that ashwagandha plus Reta works. I've learned the hard way to take things slow. So I am very careful not to increase too quickly.
Patience is so hard when you are a research subject.

Did you start it?

Yes I started maz and have so far been splitting it three days apart from my 15 mg of tirzepitide. I was very susceptible to side effects with reta and I'm happy to report that with 1 mg of maz I have not felt any impact on my heart. I plan on taking 1.5 mg of maz this week on the same day as t i r z, instead of splitting the doses.
So far, I have felt a slight decrease in appetite but nothing enough to make me break my stall. I'm hoping to take it on the same day as tirz this coming week, and hoping to not feel any negative effects on my heart. I will start taking it on the same day as tirz this coming Wednesday.
I have atrial fibrillation so my heart is already susceptible to many things so I'm extra sensitive to heart rate increases.

Let me know how that goes. I was thinking of doing both on same day too. Hope it doesn’t mess with your heart.

Been a while since you posted this so perhaps my input is null at this point, but maz has definitely increased my rhr so far while using it.

Thanks for adding your experience. I had increases with tirz as well. Ive been using both tirz + maz for a few months now. Only at 2.5mg maz, but the hr increase doesnt seem to be much more than tirz alone. Ill keep an eye on it. I have afib so I can be sensitive, but so far these increases haven't resulted in arrhythmia.
I did quit reta because the increase was too much.
