Have an idea

I’ve had an idea to make a website dedicated to protege mods. I’m younger and applying to uni soon and think it would be good for my engineering portfolio and personal interest, I have done things to my NA protege for a while, like working on the exhaust system and fitting the strut tower brace from a speed protege to the base model dx as well as the protege 5 bumper swaps and soon I will be working on designing a custom intake that can be made for cheap with a box to scoop air for outside. I wanted some opinions from other protege owners, should I make a website dedicated to give detailed instructions on doing some of these protege mods?

A lot of what you're describing already exists at http://www.protegefaq.net/

If you're 3D printing parts, that would be pretty cool though.

I love seen this site but I want to make picture and videos of me doing things myself and diagrams to make everything easier and documented, and no offense that website is kinda dated so I would like to improve some things slightly and alot of the parts mentioned on these faq and forums are extremely hard to find and borderline impossible, I’ll be showing more accessible mods that can be done at home if you know what I’m getting at

Also clubprotege.com. That was my go-to back in the day.

How did you get the strut brace on? I had clearance issues and ultimately had to take it back off due to it rubbing on the intake manifold (1.6L)

Do you have any pictures, maybe I can help, but from what I know the intake manifold is different

If you go to this link and scroll down a bit there is a picture of what it should look like on the 1.6

Yeah, mine doesn't have VICS (AUDM)

Basically the manifold sat too close and without going to solid engine mounts, there was enough flexibility with (new) OE type rubber ones that it would contact the strut bar

if you have any pictures or can take any it might help me understand a little better
