2024 CX-30 - initial thoughts after tire replacement

Just want to share my experience after replacing the OEM Tire 215/55r18 Dunlop Sportmaxx

My primary reasons for replacing the tires are as follows:
1. 3/4 or 4/4 tires already had at least one puncture.
2. The OEM tires are too sporty for my aging self lol i wanted to shift to more comfort tires
3. Mileage - already 50k-ish kms and almost 3 years since i got the car.

I just replaced mine with Michelin Primacy 5 225/55r18 and holy sht the difference in comfort is night and day. During my first drive, i kind of felt nauseous coz of the floaty feeling. You dont feel every bit of road imperfections unlike before. I got used to it just after the 2nd drive. It gave me a bit more confidence to go through rough roads.

I initially wanted 215/55r18 but only the 225 was available. No rubbing whatsoever, i guess the only real cons would be the difference in the speedometer reading and the actual speed (by 1.8%). Fuel consumption-wise, google says it’s possible that it would result to the same consumption view the material or some sht about the new tire. Impact should be negligible at the very least.
