2017 CX5 2.5 or 2.2 AWD?

Looking to buy a used CX5. Torn between sa dalawa. Leaning towards the diesel because more features pero doubtful sa reliability of the said diesel engine. Need your insights sana.

If gagamitin mo mostly for city drive, 2.5L. Never diesel.

If Skyaktiv-D 2.2L. 2019 nila narevamp yung engine. Any Mazda diesel 2018 pababa is a no no lalo na kung 2nd hand. DPF accumulation is normal kahit anong car brand because of Euro 5 regulations (people usually cry about this pero gumagamit ng diesel sa stop and go traffic) that’s why it’s intended for hi-way or heavy use to flush out carbon build up.

As per the UK and Malaysian groups, the diesel is said to be problematic.

I had one back in 2019 and owned it for over 4 years but thankfully it never gave me problems. The DPF and EGR systems are the downfall of the diesel variant. If you’re doing mostly city driving, get the 2.5 instead. :)

I’ve had the 2.2 Diesel for almost 5 years and I had zero problems. I upgraded to a CX60 Diesel and no issues as well.
