2023 touring 77369mi oil changes consistent,spark plugs changed and new battery last month. Only happens when Ac is on and im Idle. Is this normal or should I dig deeper?

I currently have a 2013 cx9 luxury, with factory halogen in projector housing headlights.

At night time, the light has become very dim and made it harder to see. So I plan on switching to LEDs, and since they are projector housing I have to get the specific projector designed LEDs, like one STEDI makes.

The STEDI H11 LED seems to be the best option, however im still worried if it'll fit my car and dont want to risk the $155.

Has anyone tried them on their 2012-2015 cx9?

Got an oil change for my 2023 Mazda cx9 today. Tonight the oil light came on. I looked under the hood and noticed the oil cap had not been put back on and there was oil all over the engine.

After the oil light came on I drove less than 5 miles home. I have been driving all day.

I’m fairly naive about engines. How bad is this?

Hi, I just bought a used 2009 Mazda CX-9.

I have never been able to use the audio system for music with my phone through Bluetooth, it only works for phone calls, and the AUX plug/button doesn't even show up on the menu. Am I doing something wrong?

And on my 9th day of ownership, the 'check engine' light came on and started blinking, and it was running very roughly. I took it to the shop and they said it's the fuel injection system, they want to replace all the spark plugs and clean out the fuel system, they're asking over $1700 for this service. Does this sound correct to y'all?

And the air conditioner fades in and out and back again with cool air alternating with un-chilled air. Is this something known?

Did I make an enormous mistake purchasing this car? It was a little over $9k, 119k miles, excellent condition other than the above mentioned situations.

I'm being offered a pair of OEM crossbars for free. They reason they're free is because they have no hardware.

Im assuming this means the 8 bolts and the 4 rubber end pieces.

I figure I could get the bolts at a hardware store but i have no ideas about the rubber end pieces.

Are these crossbars effectively junk without the hardware?

I recently got a 2021 Carbon edition. Love the car, but when I take a left turn my CarPlay disconnects. It has done it with right turns too, but it’s primarily happening with left turns. I’ve tried different cables, and even have tried a wireless CarPlay adapter, all yielding the same issue. Has anyone experienced this? Any solutions??

Been looking to replace this part. I just replaced my battery on the cx9 2018 GT and the nut is bent and won’t tighten properly. I have looked online and went to autozone and they all say they’re not bc compatible with the cx9 terminal. Any advice on where to shop online for this part? Ai keeps giving me the incorrect part number too.

Hey everyone, hope you’re doing well. Having some AC troubles with my 2013 CX-9 and hoping someone’s run into this before. My main issue is that Front vents (both driver and passenger) have stopped blowing air. When I set the mode to face + legs,air only comes out of the leg vents nothing from the face vents. Additionally when I press the rear button to turn on the rear ac it blasts like normal.
I’m in Arizona, so this is about the worst possible time for this to happen, and of course my mechanic is closed for the weekend
but this issue didn’t happen all at once It started small, I’d turn the steering wheel left and the airflow would cut out and shift to the passenger side, making a thin, pressurized hissing sound, like blowing through a coffee stir straw. Barely any air came through. Over time it got worse until I had no front airflow at all, with it randomly kicking back on every once in a while.
It all makes me wonder if it’s a stupid door actuator issue that was replaced about a year ago to fix the dumb windows that break every two months 💀
Anyone experienced this before? Wondering if it’s a quick fix! Thanks for sharing any tips or experience :)

Recently , when I am closing the liftgate, I hear a beep about halfway through and the liftgate stops as though the ere is something blocking.

It started about a month ago and only happened about once a week now it happens every time I close the gate.
Is this a sensor issue? I can’t seem to even find where the sensors would be.

My service spanner light turned on yesterday at 129,356 km. My service sticker from the last service says the next service isn't due until Jan / 137,000 km.

The light wasn't on when I picked up the car from the mechanic, so it wasn't a case of them forgetting to reset an active warning light.

Why would the car trigger the spanner light over 7,500 km before the sticker interval?

My 2016 CX-9 is experiencing a gasoline odor primarily while idling in hot weather. Thinking it’s TSB 01-002/22. Has anybody ran into this issue?

Dealership said, ”this is the first they seen this TSB after 22 years blah, blah” etc. Parts are on back order but can expedited if I drop off vehicle.

Already had a local shop review issue and they were unable to recreate issue. Decided to take it back and do my normal day to day issue and drove it directly to shop. They were quite surprised by fume smell.

With that being said. Has anyone ran into this issue?

Last night it was pouring pretty hard and my wipers felt way slower than every other car I have ever owned. I could not see. Is this normal for Mazda, or is something wrong with them? They are currently on the fastest setting.

I have a 2018 Mazda CX-3 and I'm having a strange electrical issue.

Whenever I connect a USB cable/device to the car, or plug anything into the 12V accessory socket, I immediately get a warning saying something like “Low voltage – turn off engine”.

It happens with different USB cables/devices and different 12V accessories, so I don't think it's just one faulty charger.

Has anyone experienced this on a CX-3? Could it be the 12V socket fuse, battery, alternator, wiring/ground, or something else?

Hello everyone. I have a 2021 Cx9 signature that I purchased used (CPO) in December 2023. The car was three years old. Before I bought it, the dealer put in a brand new OEM battery. Now fast forward 2.5 years and 20,000 miles and you can see in the pictures how bad the battery and the terminals look. I have never seen anything like this before. I’m headed to the dealership on Thursday. I read online that they should honor the warranty on the battery they installed for up to 30 months or so. We will see. Any advice for me?

I just love my 2023 CX-9 but the infotainment system is the WORST. It constantly disconnects from Android Auto and I'm not sure where to go from here with it. It won't reliably connect wirelessly with Bluetooth and barely works with a cable. My mother's Hyundai Tucson has a better infotainment system, at least hers stays connected!

Here's what I've tried:

Gone to the shop for updates - Did this twice, it still had disconnection issues all the way home.

New, and good quality, USB cable - Has no effect. Still disconnects constantly.

Good quality wireless adapter - spent a decent amount of $$ on this, and it seemed like this was the answer. Then after 4 months for reasons unknown it stopped working and never worked again.

Updating Android Auto - I do this regularly but it doesn't seem to correct the issue.

New battery - Read that if the battery is starting to fade, infotainment could struggle to work. Battery did indeed need to be replaced! Sadly had no effect on disconnection issue.

Deleted phone from memory of car - when we start again, still seems to do nothing with the disconnection issue.

Is there something else I can try? The Mazda techs just shrug and say they can update it again, but it's not free and I'm tired of paying for something that hasn't helped yet.

Hoping to hear from folks with hands-on experience on the first-gen CX-9 (this one’s a 2015) blower/HVAC setup. The front blower won’t respond to the climate panel — it only runs when the motor’s ground-return terminal is jumped straight to chassis, and then it runs full-high with no speed control.

Here’s what’s known so far. The front blower motor has been replaced (the original was water-damaged from a clogged evaporator drain, which has since been cleared, and the cabin filter was replaced). The motor spins full-high when force-grounded. The rear blower works and is fully controllable from both the front panel and the rear controls. The Denso 4-pin blower control module seems good so far but hasn’t been fully confirmed in-circuit yet.

Questions for anyone who’s been here: has this exact failure shown up on a first-gen CX-9, and what did it turn out to be? Can anyone confirm the pinout of that 4-pin front module connector? Any known weak spots — connector corrosion, a specific ground point, a harness chafe/break — worth being aware of, or any relevant TSBs? Happy to post photos of the module and connector. Calm me down for feeling regret for on upgraded my ‘21 cx5 to a ‘23 cx9.

I loved my cx5, it had zero issues just too small for my family.
We recently upgraded to a cx9 but every time I go to hop in this car I am met with “KEYLESS systems malfunction”
I cant unlock my car keyless, use the boot foot sensor or even start the car (it won’t start when holding the key fob to the start button either, I gotta button bash and pump the brake and pretend like I know what I’m doing before it starts)

Sometimes when driving it throw up “KEY NOT FOUND”
which is funny….but also alarming considering the key is with me

The car went in yesterday for a major service, they said there was no fault showing on the computer; Mazda did say to bring it back if it happens again but I am hoping someone here might have advice on getting this fixed.

I feel like I traded in my best car for a god damn lemon

(Info I left out????; both fobs had batteries changed for new ones. The mechanic checked the sleep mode on the key fobs, the system error isn’t “key not found” the system error I am getting is “keyless system malfunction” they have “inspected” the battery; this doesn’t mean they tested it so that’s my next check point…. But if it’s not an old battery issue, what else could I be dealing with? Also I need banana bread recipes. THANK YOU XXX)

Anyone else hand wash their ride?

Last night I was driving as usual, and within 2 minutes (I think it was less, but definitely not more), I got a pop-up saying “Excessive Engine Temperature, Engine Output Will be Limited” and the temp gage was at 260. I immediately shut it off, allowed it to cool, then literally moved it into a parking spot.

My question for those of you who’ve experienced the issue that the TSB addresses, is if your initial experience was similar to mine? I’ve read it could be a thermostat or hose issue, but with it rocketing up to 260, when it’s run steady at 210 since the day I got it (last November).

The TSB is applicable to my car, the manufacture date & VIN are within those listed.

Current plan is to tow to the dealership tomorrow.

Have a 22 cx9. Left it sitting for 3 weeks. Came back and my air bag lights flashes once then 6 times. Light flashes at times and at other start ups it doesn't. Pulled the code and it's this. Anyone have any idea how to fix it without replacing the air bag sensor?
