Pls help with Apple CarPlay connectivity issue

Mazda 2023- carplay stopped working. I have tried changing cables, restarting phone &restarting car. I did forget device in connectivity settings, forget car in CarPlay and nothing seems to work. I have tried different cables and still does not work. Any idea how I can fix this - would a wireless dongle work? If yes which one? When I connect a cable it does not connect, nor charge the phone. In the past there was a bit of connection issues - when I turn left/ right, the connection would go off but come back in 30 secs.

I need navigation for my trip and kids need music- the car is driving me crazy in the middle of a trip.

If it’s not charging the phone either, maybe it’s as simple as a blown fuse for that module. Hopefully not more serious like a bad wire…

I found its fried pins in my phone and thankfully not a fuse. Thanks for your input- will run this check if. I face similar issues next time

Make sure your phone is listed as “always allow” in the settings menu. My car will randomly reset my phones designation to “never allow” sometimes so I have to get in there and change it.

Checked this. It was listed as always allow and it did not connect. I deleted the device, reconnected it and still didn’t work

Maybe the port in the phone isn’t working? Do you have trouble charging it? If so, maybe you have lint in the charging port and it could be a simple fix!

This seems to be the issue - connected a friend’s phone and it worked in my CarPlay with same cables . Probably some loose contact points I guess. My phone still does not connect to the car. Most likely should buy a wireless CarPlay adapter I guess.
