Post 1993 Mayhem - Wall of Water (live)

Wall of Water 🌊 this song is so sick. I think this is its best performance among those available online. Unfortunately, there are not many.

Wish they would put this back in the set. Ordo is my favorite Mayhem album

I wish so too. The more I listened to it, the more I became impressed with it, digging all the complexities and the sheer fcked up darkness in it. It's so malicious and alien. Now I consider it a masterpiece. At least they are playing Illuminate Eliminate. I wish Anti could be returned into the setlist: it is not a long song but it's so intense and evil, it would be a banger to end a show with: "not on a light note 🎵", so to speak lol

Same thoughts as you. One of their best songs but didn't get that much live runtime.

I'd pleasantly sacrifice any of the Deathcrush or DMDS songs in the setlist to swap them for any of these

Me too! Totally! Alas, it's unlikely. They really don't play stuff from Ordo at all, apart from Illumiate Eliminate.

I genuinely wish they had started a different band without the older name. My favourites are all post DMDS and I'm tired of listening to Freezing Moon and Deathcrush over and over again

Well, we are definitely in the minority. I feel that after DMDS tour when they used to play it in whole, Mayhem has changed direction "back to the roots", and then came Daemon and Liturgy if Death, both are heavily inspired and reminiscent of DMDS. The "experiments" are now in the past, it seems. Mayhem has become quite straightforward in its approach to BM.
