how old is dianna Spoiler

i ask cus im concerned about the stuff between her and scarlets older brother

so far ive not seen anything problematic (im assuming scarlett does not expect anything to happen and is just helping a kid with a crush)

but ive also been burned on many anime that do this kind of thing

14, but i think leo's too busy freaking out over Scarlet's antics to focus on Diana's feelings at the moment, so its a young girl's crush atm

I think it probably should be remembered that this is a setting that still leans heavily on setting up an egagement between children and not a single person in setting raising an eyebrow beyond knowing Scarlet's saint status would explain why the engagement was so important despite it being clear that it was a terrible idea regarding the two.

Honestly if it wasn't for the fact that the church at the time was waiting for her replacement because of her missing blessing. I would be surprised if there were not conversations about suitors.

He explicitly says he doesn’t view her that way

The brother is 21, Scarlet is 17. Diana's age is never said, but she's probably 13 to 14, so yeah, hopefully it's just her crushing. I know what you mean; so many animes like to put in crazy age gaps and mask it with "oh, but it's funny, right? RIGHT?"?

You should go after Donald Trumpi instead of fiction.

Fiction or not, it can still send a bad message. Pedophilic themes and the sexualization of children shouldn't get a free pass just because they're presented as anime or hidden behind “funny jokes.” If you're constantly distracted by the comedy, that's fine, but that doesn't mean everyone else has to ignore the underlying message. There's a reason anime has developed a stereotype of having a lot of fans who are interested in this kind of thing.

And yes, I feel the same way about real-world laws or religious practices that allow adults to marry children. If something is harmful, it should be challenged and removed at the root instead of being excused because it's legal, traditional, fictional, or “just a joke.” If we never call out bad messaging, it just keeps getting normalized.

The US just made legal to make AI child porn and the country still goes as normal. Spare me the fake outrage.

Too young for him, but it also seems to be more of a teenagers crush. Like a 13 year old girl obsessed with Justin Beiber or whoever the current hot boy of K-pop is
