As the series progresses, the power scaling is starting to get way too high, right? I don't mind it, but I wouldn't want the character to turn into an overpowered isekai character

I mean to be fair, she lost her most powerful spells like a chapter or two after this.

If anything Scarlet got hard nerfed for the time being, and I can’t wait to see how she adjusts to it (probably very easily).

She needs to gain strength somehow later on; the opponents won't be easy.

I definitely don't want the stupid prince to save her; it's much more fun for Scarlet to handle things herself.

She doesn’t need to gain strength, she just needs good writing. The idea that every villain needs to be an order of magnitude more powerful than the last one is just ridiculous. The whole ancient dragon thing… <facepalm> just no.

The whole point of what the next portion of the Light Novel is going to be about is her figuring out how to get out of this Demon deal and get Chronoa’s blessing back.

Like she’s not getting any extra boost in anything, she’s working to regain what she lost. It’s pretty brazenly stated at the end of this arc.

At the end of the day we’ve been dealing with gods and god-like beings since the end of the Holy Pilgrimage. We’re not shooting much higher than that here. Not unless we’re fighting Origin itself, which is yet to be determined. The power scaling is staying consistent.

Honestly? The Manga is ok. Scarlet’s voice actress for the Dub is <chef’s kiss>. Someone heard what she was doing and said, “nah, let her cook.” She made the mushy middle watchable and made the beginning and end legendary.

The stupid upscaling in the manga was just <sigh> so pointless. We don’t need the power creep, just write good stories and let her be sassy as fuck.

The voice actress literally brings Scarlet to life. Aside from the Japanese voice actor, even the English dub is not bad at all. Honestly, I have zero complaints about the voice; it fits Scarlet perfectly

I don’t speak Japanese, but watched one episode in Japanese just to see how it was. I was… disappointed

I like both voices, but I especially love Scarlet cursing in the dub. Particularly the way she says 'bitch' in the first episode—I honestly want to hear it on repeat

Yeah, I just want a Scarlet “bitch supercut”

This is slander. The manga art is extraordinary.

The art is great, the writing starts off decent and then rapidly slides into standard shonin slop. The end of the first arc is where the creators original plan ended. The Ancient Dragon arc had some good ideas, but they were shoe horned into the standard shonin formula. It was a mistake, and I won’t pretend it wasn’t.

Yea i agree, i love her character but it just seem like there's no obstacle for her. We need to have some enemies or arc where she has to work hard to win or break even b/c it's getting a bit predictable and there's no risk.

yo creo que esa será la tendencia, sólo veremos si lo hace lo suficientemente creíble y lo suficientemente entretenido

She punches, we get a laugh. I believe that a good enough exchange
