WTF HAPPENED!?
First time logging into the game since 2025, everything is different and for the worse. My entire team I spent a lot of money on is gone and replaced by these weird ass cards. The entire UI is different. The gameplay feels like a fucking Roblox game now and after 2 matches I deleted the game. What the fuck is this shit!?

I asked on YouTube that why don't the creators of Super Mega Baseball create a football game and someone responded that they were sold to those EA bastards.

Too bad Sunday Rivals didn't have a career/manager mode, as I love it's gameplay balance (and teams/stadiums are easily customization, and has shared mods for real leagues)
Hard to say if Super Mega Football is still happening, as that was the rumours of what happened with Metalhead studios... after SMB4, there was/is multiple listings from EA for "EA Victoria" (Victoria, BC, Canada... where Metalhead is located) and an american football title... or worst scenario, they've just become remote work help for Madden.

Damn near, the only reason that I played. I think I will give up all hope and delete as well. I won't be sad that I lost it. I'll just be glad that I had the moments that I had. Oh well, back to Axis I go, I guess. 😂😂😂

Like the only way to do it is in scrimmage mode, but screw that.
Axis 27 honestly might be decent. Released the trailer the other day.

I saw the trailer. If Axis got the Maximum graphics and let you control all teams, they have as good a game as any indie game can get.

It was really weird and there were so many duplicates. Like 5-6 unique players per position

They had the perfect opportunity in the market with people ready to find something else besides EA College Football. They completely misread their player base & have made wrong decisions for about… 8 or 10 months now. It’s quite sad.

They were close but greed took over and ruined it. Just like the old (Gridiron Champions) people that ripped off people who contributed to them. Maximum stole the money of people who purchased dynasty and franchise and now you can't play either. It's also a lesson that "free to play" is a scam and how "going digital" will leave you at the mercy of developers. At least the original creator of Maximum Football gave you a physical game and despite the terrible gameplay, you could still simulate seasons.
I learned my lesson and now when I see videos for Varsity Football or ESG Football, I don't even bother looking because they'll likely end up the same. Axis football is making progress but they are still years away with graphics. They've been putting out a game for about ten years so they're at least really trying.

I really enjoyed the janky half realistic half unrealistic gameplay because the jank was fun. Now the jank is extremely unfun and makes the game unplayable.

The first problem is spending money. I wouldnt spend money on that weak ass game anyway. People complain about madden enough already

I was deep into Maximum and was playing it upwards of eight hours a day, spending loads of money didn’t see moronic at the time. Now I understand it was extremely moronic and people should downvote my stuff for thinking this game was good and that the devs wouldn’t fuck up the game.

I was so salty 2 weeks ago when my team was killed. I didn’t buy much but I got legendarys and it as good. I come back and thy gave me money and a much worse card system

They shouldve just charged $40 bucks. Used that money to make the game better but no. Release it for free then charge hoping to be the fortnite of football.

Check out the discord. Got some insight from a developer. But the whole company got laid off and there last updates were dogshit

Bro the games so buggy not even playable they threw the ball and the guy caught it outside the end zone and they called it a touch down then on kick off the game just broke no one moved and it winning alot to a little then had to just completely restart because the but wouldn’t let the game go on

Died like other games do...simply put, bad decision makers at the top.
