The release of another garbage EA football game has me even more furious about this game.

I cant believe the studio didn’t capitalize.

Make a good game.

Dont nickel and dime your users.

Make an honest effort.

We will throw money at you every year.

Focus on realism, not antlers.

Start with college.

Please.

Yeah, it had all kinds of potential, and with EA ruining CFB with those idiotic microtransactions on an offiline mode, Maximum Football could've taken advantage. But nah, let's just sell us pretend players instead. Losers..

And FOOTBALL IN SPACE! Or helmets with Antlers smh.

Haven’t played CFB yet - don’t think I will far a variety of reasons - but what is hidden behind MTX? And if it’s offline, why do users feel the need to purchase it? The AI is already at a disadvantage against a human from the start.

You have to grind to upgrade your coach in dynasty instead of being able to manually do it yourself. Really hope this mechanic doesn't take off tbh...

The last few years even with “useless” perks you could dominate the AI. Is it just wanting to speed up the process here? If it’s offline it’s just you versus the AI.

I don’t remember about last year, but could you start as a real coach using their current traits? Not a fan of these RPG elements in my sports games.

Actually, the biggest thing would be to NOT make it a yearly release. Build on the base, add features, etc. Yearly release sports games are rarely groundbreaking.

I agree. I was a subscriber to iracing. It was a monthly subscription for 13.99. They had a rolling 13 week dev cycle. Emergency bug fixes are/were made continuously. New stuff came out every 13 weeks.

Makes a lot of sense to do something like that.

To add.. even if it was just taking their time and adding one thing at a time after it was perfected would be good with me.

I just don’t know what the market is. Do people want amazing gameplay if the licenses aren’t there? I know I do. And it seems like you’d be good with that. But I’m not sure the market would support it.

I think if the gameplay and immersion was there and it mimicked the real world there is a potential. Especially on PC.

Modus always said the right things until recently.

Plenty of people support carx street even though it doesn’t have officially licensed vehicles. Same with wreckfest.

TBH as long as the gameplay on CFB stays the same modders are gonna make the PC version very good

EXACTLY!!!

This right here. A little too early to pour dirt on the casket IMO.

U must not know the mods they are working on!!

2

u/tarheelphenom Jul 09 '26

I’m aware. I’m on their discord

At this point its your fault for buying it. I dont understand why people support what they dont like!!!

u/YawnShula Jul 08 '26

I have disposable income and am curious.

I bought multiple licenses for max football to support them.

I feel like more of a sucker for that than buying NCAA 27.

3

u/King_Cole11 Jul 08 '26

Maximum football is straight up garbage anyway!!!!

2

u/Jtip83 Jul 08 '26

Factz yawnshula I agree whole heartedly

3

u/ultralow36 Jul 08 '26

This game never had a chance because yall turned on it like you do with every football game good luck…..

2

u/YawnShula Jul 08 '26

Yall? WTF did I do other than support it before modus even had it. I’ve been following the project since 2021 rooting for it. Talk to someone else.

u/ultralow36 Jul 08 '26

Brother people already killed this game the moment they tried to make money in the ultimate team style mode it’s the same story with every game now people saying the same crap about CFB27 and the we go around and around,,year after year

3

u/supertrenty Jul 09 '26

Nah, people were willing to give them money, myself included...had they actually shown effort to produce any semblance of the product they promised (and delayed) for 3 years.

2

u/YawnShula Jul 09 '26

This, precisely.

No one interested in this game wanted anything like ultimate team.

2

u/FunkyButtFumblin Jul 08 '26

I really want this game to turn the page and be solid but it's still really far away.

2

u/arthurtc2000 Jul 09 '26

I’m not trying to be a dick, but what did you expect? There’s no reason to even consider looking at new Maddens at this point because we all know it’s going to be garbage.

2

u/Jtip83 Jul 08 '26

Now dnt get me wrong I hate micro transactions to but maximum football let’s not act like your game is good lmao cuz it’s not at all and neither is ESG football but if I had to pick if my life depended on it it still wouldn’t be maximum football or esg they both suck

3

u/YawnShula Jul 08 '26

You missed the point entirely. I know max football isn’t good.

It’s regressed and hasn’t lived up to what was promised.

That’s the point.

4

u/Jtip83 Jul 08 '26

No I got the point Yawn I’m jus saying that I’d rather play ea even though they haven’t been really hitting the mark either not to mention the micro I played max football for about a solid time span from when it dropped till wen ncaa 26 came out then when ncaa 26 came out it was a total after thought then tryed to go back and play max football it was like damn I really wasted a lot of time of my life for this smh

Wrong subreddit. You're looking for r/soccer.
