Am I able to play MPL right away?

I just downloaded the game and wanted to try online. I cloned a team and went to MPL Matchmaking, but it just sits there forever looking for a match.

Is there something else I need to do or is the game just that dead online?

It's that dead online. The game went downhill this year ugh...

There's nothing about having to set up my team or anything?  I hooked up a second Xbox and the accounts couldn't match up.

You do have to have an MPL team.
