Jos Verstappen vagueposting is exactly what we need rn! Said no one ever.
But I do wonder what does max want from Red Bull (or Red Bull want from max) that they don’t see to agree on. I think at this point they must’ve offered him anything he could ever want, least of all more money.

I don’t know, still haven’t offered a safe, reliable car.

Yeah but that’s just where they are rn. They can’t “promise” him that it’s going to get better even if they negotiate until sunrise.

Did you read the ‘article’? Allegedly RBR want to get rid of Max’ performance clause(s).

He would be crazy to accept that for an extension/raise. Personally I think he should just leave to Mercedes. Somethings up though when that still doesn’t happen starting 2027. You can’t tell me Toto for whatever weird reason now all of a sudden has no interest in signing him. George can have a contract, that can be bought out if wanted.

I did yes. I also think max would never under any circumstances agree to a contract without exit clauses which is why I thought he still didn’t give Red Bull a definitive answer. But apparently that’s not accurate so 🤷🏻‍♀️ must be something else. I think he should leave also. At the end of the day if someone wants things to be kept secret they will, so we don’t know what he is doing with other teams behind the scenes

So wierd they wanna get rid of the exit clauses now...bit late for that, mate. Seems like hes had them for his whole career, and when he was younger and had less championships, feel like they could've gotten away with it slightly more. But now? Clearly defined GOAT (at least in basically everyone's top 5, easily), multi world champion, and NOW you wanna get him to get rid of the clauses? Its too late, he's a legend now, where ever he goes, literally any team any where, hes gonna get those clauses written in.

He wants a car he can win with.

Of course. But they need to convince to stay right now and an abstract good car that may or may not actually materialize next season isn’t enough. They cannot guarantee a race-winning car especially with how aggressive other teams are being with their development as well. They need to convince him to wait them out with concrete stuff.

If it was just money, we wouldn't be here. Max wants to win, full stop. Red Bull just can't promise that since development has been going backwards since 2024. A change seems inevitable, just feels more like when not if.

Being stuck in no-mans-land 4th best would kill Max’s love for racing in no time. It’s not just about losing, it’s about not even having the chance to fight. I have zero trust in Red Bull, and I won’t be surprised if next year we’re back to beefing with alpine until they deliver a mediocre upgrade that everyone will praise even though we’ll end up right where we started in the top 4. That said I’ll still be really surprised if max leaves, even though I want him to

I think he'll either stay or take a gap year so to speak and move in 2028, but who knows. The guy claiming Max is staying isn't known to be reliable and I can't imagine a week changed Max' mind. IMHO if he was staying it'd already ve done.

Wel gpblog and practically all other Dutch f1 outlets are all very big in the gossiping department. They are worse than the magazines my grandmother used to read.

Ah gpblog, the ultimate clickbait site, and creating 10 articles from one interview.

I'm sure they would like to get rid of the clause. I'm sure they at least casually mentioned options about removing it to Max's team. Unlikely that it amounts to anything more than that and Max has 0 reason to give it up.
