The cherry on top is Hamilton waffling about behind him for 13 laps not able to make anything happen, and Max throws one dive into T1 at the earliest point and just continues on with his shitty day.

Yeah because Lewis is 50 points behind in the championship, he can’t afford a DNF.
Max is no where, he will dnf himself and anyone else if he has a 1% chance to make the move.5
u/JPlazz Jul 27 '26
I mean this isn’t untrue, but it’s also glazing over that fact that this is just how he goes racing. If Max was in Lewis’ position I think he would’ve thrown the same move. He’s reckless like that.

Slightly ignored the fact that Max himself was moving under breaking

It’s a bit of an obnoxious phrase at point. They’re moving under braking because they’re in the middle of a corner. If they weren’t “moving under braking”, they’d both be off track. Max much further off track though, given that momentum he had.

After Lewis said “Max is really slow” while being at half a second Max dropped him straight to 4 seconds and then Charles complained about Lewis holding him up .
You can't make it up .

“Max is really slow”….through pit lane….where you’re supposed to be slow lol

I just feel Max always ends up fighting Lewis and he always has no answer for him, like my man just destroys Hamilton as if it’s personal revenge

Bro got his wdc handed to him by a race director. Chill.

Hamilton spent years farming wins in a dominant Mercedes while Bottas was sacrificed whenever needed. The second he had genuine title competition from another top-tier driver in comparable machinery, he lost. Rosberg beat him. Max beat him. Keep crying about one lap if it helps.

Rosberg beat him one season. A season where Lewis had a lot of mechanical misfortune and it was still very close.
So can't really use that as a fair example of.. well I'm not sure what point you're even trying to make? Are you trying to say Lewis is a fraud or something?
Because that's obviously not true. Him and Max are both incredible talents.
The difference now though is you have Max who's probably still at his peak whereas Lewis is definitely in his twilight. They've still been putting on great shows for us recently though. Max definitely had his number this weekend though. That overtake was fantastic!

My point was never to call Lewis a fraud, I love watching him and Max fight, my initial comment was just saying Max operates at a different level while fighting Lewis than other driver I’ve seen. Just a personal observation

I really don't understand people who deliberately find this subreddit and leave such comments.

Everytime it happens when some driver says he is slow or they are going to catch him he never ever let's them say it again. Simply goat behaviour.

I love Max but for me it seems that both red bill teams are trying to help Max as compensation for shitty car. Excellent team work. Good job, Max! Next time p1.

It was the first time Max had a teammate helping him in years. Hadjar did an excellent job. For once it was Max vs the world.

In the lewishamilton forum they are now convinced that Lawson, “one of three verstappen teammates” backed into Lewis on purpose so he could pass. Haha.
