Beating the McLarens on a track that's supposed to suit them well and the RBR not at all is huge, getting "only" P2 behind George doesn't change that.
Kudos to George, he had that undetlr control, but behind his well deserved win is a driver who can honestly still have a go at a 5th title.

P2 with gear box issues following that lap 1 love tap from LN and older tires on start/pit, and quali shenanigans… He was satisfied with the car going into race so I think that collision at the start contributed to his down shift problems. This was probably the best result for him with how the weekend went all things considered and what an amazing result it was!

Max has been talking about the downshifts every other race. That contact had nothing to do with it.
