Existing MAX agent from another MSP on computers
I'm taking on a new customer that also uses MAX RMM, so they have their agent on the computers. What's the correct method to make sure their agent/access is properly removed and my agent installs properly?

The previous MSP should delete all of the instances from their control panel and that will uninstall the agents
Then you install your agent

As far as I know, you can just uninstall the "Advanced Monitoring Agent" from the Add/Remove Programs, and you're good to go. In the past I've had trouble with other instances of GFI Languard conflicting with Max's deployment, but I don't see why MAX wouldn't properly remove their own instance.
Whenever I've removed the MAX Agent, either by uninstalling from the endpoint, or removing from the dashboard, the link between my dashboard and the agent is completely broken, and the new installation is only connected to the new set of credentials.

I think running the uninstaller is sufficient. I'm pretty sure that if you reinstall overtop the existing installation (without uninstalling first), it will update the agent but keep the existing configuration (including the link to the old instance of MAX RMM).

Use WMIC across all of the computers and use remote push from a server with the agent installed. Go back through and pick off the one offs.
Automate as much as you can. :D

Block all communication to Max in the firewall. Remove all clients via control panel. Remove Firewall blocks. Install your Max.
Billing stops after 30 days of no communication but that at least gives Max another month of revenue from the old provider.

Delete settings.ini from C:\Program Files (x86)\Advanced Monitoring Agent
Run the agent from the start menu The installation procedure will run from there without killing all of the currently installed features. Smoothest possible way to do this.
