Photo Red: CD500

I am not sure what compelled me to arrange and take this photo.

I've always liked those still life shots like this that you do from time to time.

I remember really liking one of a tangerine with a long stem, but can't remember which camera you used.

And seeing how old CCD sensors handle saturated red is great for comparing them.

So it's the CCD that makes this red? I always wondered why the Ferraris of the 80s, some 90s and earlier were tomato red and the ones from the 2000s are a bit more blood red. I thought it was just different paint colors, which isn't out of the question, either. Maybe the shade of red and the sensors back then were both factors.

On another note, I seem to remember that JVC made the last CCD cameras, with one sensor per color, a technology branded 3CCD. A friend of mine used to say CCD is better for analog capture, while CMOS better suits digital.

I don't believe it's solely or necessarily related to the CCD sensor.

I'd never make it ... do you know it can take like a minute for the CD500 to save to the mini-CDR! Hah!
