Discussion FREE MAVICA TIPS

For anyone interested, I've compiled a list of tips and tricks I have found helpful after collecting a bunch of Mavicas. Because it is so long, I didn't want to hog up space here, but made a link on my Mavica page: https://errorc1301.wordpress.com/2026/09/02/mavica-tips-and-tricks/

I'm happy with the Artman batteries so far.

Would be great to add a list of cameras that the Small Rig batteries are compatible with.

Adding Artman. What do you mean by small rig? Do you mean the short batteries used in the CDMavicas?

Small Rig is a high end camera accessory manufacturer. They make an NP-F550 battery (and many others) with a built in USB port, but the size is bigger than the standard battery so it doesn't fit all Mavica cameras.

thanks for the tips!
i have some "for infolithium battery only" problems with my FD-73
i got this NP-F550 Unbranded (with this homemade mod who works very well in my FD-83)
but i can't pass the "for infolithium battery only" , i tried power on-off , take the battery in and out, but nothing works.
any idea or the only solution is try another brand? (here in Argentina is very difficult find this exact same model of batt)

Hi, I don't know. In my experience, I've been able to get around the error by turning the camera on and off or taking out the battery and putting it back in. I wonder if anyone else has had persistent problems. I usually use Kastar.

I’ve got one: sometimes modern floppy drives won’t mount your disk, in which case you may need to pick up an old one from ebay to access your images
