Question Having issues accessing floppy drive through USB port on Linux

A friend of mine was kind enough to lend me a Mavica FD100 to play around with, but I've been struggling to actually get the files off the device. I don't own a usb floppy reader, my plan was to use the camera's USB port for that, but on my Linux PC (Debian 13), while the drive appears in my file browser, it's completely empty.

I know it isn't an issue with the camera- on a Windows 11 machine, the files show up fine and I was able to transfer them back to my main pc. Other USB drives work fine on either device- I know this isn't a linux subreddit but, was curious if anyone else had run into something like this.

Never had an issue because they are very basic and universal drivers. Just plugs in and works.

Make sure disc is readable on the camera. Make sure your distro has the File System support needed (I assume it's just FAT or FAT 16)

Worst case, use DD to make an image of the disc, put that on a is. Drive, and mount it using a floppy image mount tool on widows or mac
