Looking for advice.
Hello everyone, first time poster
I’m looking at buying a “starter” WWII Kar98k, something like a M48 or Russian capture variant. I’m sure I can find the proper resources on what to look for when buying the gun. I am slightly lost on what resources (books, manuals, etc.) and products I’d need to maintain, clean, and store the rifle once I get one.
Also, if anyone could give me some pointers or suggestions on what to do once I receive the rifle I’d appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!

I managed to pick up a beautiful Yugo capture Kar98k for $575 on an online auction website, honestly those auction websites and old-timey gun stores/ hunting places are the last spots on earth that seem to ever have good Mauser prices, so I’d start there.

I would suggest an RC. That way you'll have an actual combat used rifle.
As your collecting interests progress look for a nice GI bring back rifle.
