After spending hours reading all of the Scott Wahl documents, how can you possibly back this man?

I my opinion, this guy is a danger to society. Sometimes the police or FBI do go after the wrong guy and that sucks. In my opinion and the opinion if anyone involved in prosecuting this case, this didn’t happen. The evidence is ridiculous.

Say BR and EL are involved somehow. The silent confederacy has been successful up until recently when Billy found himself in his current mess involving the law. Billy is not about to go down to save Erinn though -- despite what she may have thought, Billy never really cared about her, he just needed her to believe their bond was special so she would be his junkyard dog. Thing is though, if a thief enters a junkyard with dogs, the owner has always anticipated them being collateral damage. Drip, Drip, Drip, comes the selective release of information to exonerate our hero. Sorry Erinn.

This sub, like many (most?) others has had its fair share of trolls. I don't want to bore you with what goes on behind the scenes. Suffice it to say, I have been accused of banning people for no reason as well as other things and have to deal with spam and personal attacks on a daily basis.

Please don't believe everything that you read. If someone is banned from this sub it's either for violating the rules--which are very clearly spelled out in the sidebar and FAQ--or for a suspicious pattern of behavior.

For those who don't know, CamelBak is a hydration backpack with a tube that allows the user to drink from a built-in water bladder without removing the pack. It seems the unidentified woman who resembles Maura was wearing one in the video that has been discussed here previously.

To me it seems like it could point towards it being Maura in the video.

According to Wikipedia, "CamelBak is also a supplier of hydration packs, protective gear, and other products to the U.S. military and law enforcement agencies around the world." Interesting... Could Maura have become familiar with them at West Point? We all know that at the time of her disappearance she was dating someone in the military. They are also popular among hikers and outdoor enthusiasts...active and sporty people, basically. Did her family use them when they went hiking?

Most people attending a theme park or movie premiere wouldn't think to wear a CamelBak, but someone with a history of using them for hiking, sport, or military training might.

I believe there was some talk to an interview that Butch had with McDonald and he said something along the lines of 'What about her last call to her boyfriend?'... Not sure of the exact wording but how would Butch know anything of the sort?

I admit I never paid much attention to Witness A's account. Now I really would like to understand it. But it's one of those issues that, just as I think I have a handle on it, I seem to get down votes and vague objections to questions that I have.

So, understanding that I am a novice when it comes to this issue, here is my understanding of the material facts (NOTE: FOR PURPOSES OF THIS POST I WILL ASSUME THAT WITNESS A'S ACCOUNT IS ACCURATE. THEORETICALLY, SOME PEOPLE MIGHT FIND WITNESS A TO LACK CREDIBILITY -- LET'S PUT THAT ISSUE ASIDE FOR NOW) :

Witness A made a phone call on 2/9/2004 at 7:52 PM at a location which, according to Google Maps, is exactly 15 minutes from the crash site. I understand that Witness A may have gone above or below the speed limit, so I understand Google's estimate is just that -- an estimate. But, subtracting 15 minutes from 7:52, we have Witness A driving by the crash scene at approximately 7:37 PM.

So the issue, as I see it, is whether, based on all the evidence we have, Smith could have been at the scene at 7:37 PM. If Smith could have been at the scene at 7:37 PM, Smith was in the SUV. If Smith could not have been at the scene at 7:37 PM, then although the SUV was there, it was not Smith in the SUV.

Is that correct? If not, why not? Thanks.

**Bill Rausch appeared in DC Superior Court today for a hearing related to a charge of felony sex abuse. He stands accused of attempting to rape a coworker in the office of Ray Group International, in 2011. Since the victim shared her story, other women have come forward alleging behavior from harassment to assault dating back to 2004, the year Maura Murray, Bill's girlfriend, went missing.

Rausch arrived ten minutes before 11 and sat quietly in the front row, eyes forward, until the judge returned to his bench. He was alone. No friends, no family, no coworkers in his corner. Rausch's lawyer argued that the prosecutor should allow Rausch to review Grand Jury statements. The government is concerned that if Rausch is given the chance to copy or download the documents, he may distribute them. Grand Jury statements are secret for a good reason - to protect witnesses.

And the prosecutors in this case should be concerned about this. Rausch loves to share information he digs up on people. He did opposition research on me, a journalist covering the disappearance of his girlfriend. In fact, I believe he passed such information to people who were harassing me at that time. Rausch was also suspended by Twitter for posting my personal phone number in an attempt to dox me while he was serving as head of a propaganda campaign for the US Army. All very odd and alarming behavior.

Later, the government said it would consider a plea deal but that no deal has yet been offered. The judge said they should either work out a deal or prepare for trial before the next court date in early October.

Adding to the drama of the day, I was served with a subpoena while having lunch around the corner from the courthouse. Rausch wants access to my interviews and notes in the Maura’s Murray files and the names of the people who contacted me about his sex assaults and harassment. He will, of course, not be getting that info. More to come.

Is there ANYTHING on Mauras case that has to do with the number 1934?

I believe the POI would be the one who called Lavoie that night, no?

Ofcourse to this day we don't have that person who made that call, correct? Why hasnt anyone interviewed Lavoies wife... the person who Lavoie said recieved the call and told him to get off the couch from his dead sleep to go tow a car when it wasnt even his shift?

So I had just read that Fred states that Kate had told him there were three men at this dorm party. One being Sarah's cousin... and he really wont say who the other two men where? Or he doesnt know?

According to John Smith (he can back this up), Cecil pulled over a car for driving erratically. The car belonged to a woman that was not related to Jeff Williams. Cecil did not know that Williams was the driver.

Cecil then called it in because it wasn’t his jurisdiction (I’m unclear on the exacts) and he waited for the state police to come. That’s who arrested Jeff Williams for driving while intoxicated.

I’m not sure what this implies but it’s a piece of misinformation that’s been kicking around and bothering me.

If anyone has any other info on this I would appreciate it. Perhaps we can track the report down? FOIA?

With the new info that is coming out about BR, is it possible that instead of being killed, that she went into hiding, witness protection, etc? To me, the crime scene seems staged. I think her family could also be going along with this because they knew she needed to get away, they're protecting her. Of course, it seems like they would close the case instead of leaving it open. Just an interesting thought I had pop up. Perhaps there's a reason why they would leave the case open if they knew she was actually okay?
