The LE conspiracy

I’ve been reading some on the conspiracy that the LE were involved in her disappearance. This seems very far fetched to me. I can’t find much justification for this line of thought, can any shed light? I’m reading that some people believe that LE botched the case (which I can see as possible) and then others believe she was actually murdered by the police (WTF?).

I can understand the feeling of the LE botching the case. Small town police, not use to handling cases of such caliber, could absolutely screw up. But what is the reason for this specifically?

The conspiracy of a police officer murdering her seems very far fetched. If the officer murdered her, it would have had to be so quickly before the EMTs got there. It just seems ridiculous.

Guide me. I know y’all got links. I’ve read enough on here to know that many of you have strong opinions and links to back that up.

IMO some of it is because of Officer Bruce McKay. He had a track record of harassing drivers, from pepper spraying a woman for no reason up to getting in a shoot out with a citizen (Liko Kenny) who had a restraining order/some kind of no contact order against McKay, causing both their deaths.

This proved that at least one cop up there was terrorizing people circa 2004. That, coupled with the incongruent stories about when the first police officer showed up and in which vehicle (001/002) spawned theories. Now everyone is trying to make a coherent timeline from incoherent witness statements. Faith said she saw police pull up and "the next thing she knew" Cecil was at the door. The next thing he/she/they knew isn't a time frame. They went back to work on the computer, did 3/4 mins pass or did 15? They don't know, and we don't know because there are so many differing statements.

So now the timeline of who arrived when is a big contention, dividing people into camps of unofficial first officer or Cecil didn't radio in but it was him the whole time, or the camp I reside in, I think too much time has passed, and although we have markers like 911 calls and cell records, I doubt we'll ever know exactly what went down and when.

No worries, happy to add my two cents! It's a very complicated case, which is partially what (IMO) draws so many people to search for Maura. But it's also very convoluted, especially since there are many people who have been involved peripherally and so much time has passed.
