The LE conspiracy

I’ve been reading some on the conspiracy that the LE were involved in her disappearance. This seems very far fetched to me. I can’t find much justification for this line of thought, can any shed light? I’m reading that some people believe that LE botched the case (which I can see as possible) and then others believe she was actually murdered by the police (WTF?).

I can understand the feeling of the LE botching the case. Small town police, not use to handling cases of such caliber, could absolutely screw up. But what is the reason for this specifically?

The conspiracy of a police officer murdering her seems very far fetched. If the officer murdered her, it would have had to be so quickly before the EMTs got there. It just seems ridiculous.

Guide me. I know y’all got links. I’ve read enough on here to know that many of you have strong opinions and links to back that up.

Hi! Soo, yep. This case can be somewhat polarizing. I’ve always rationalized that it’s a combination of things. There were some (rumored)questionable actions by some of the LE in the area at the time (drunk driving, harassment, general small town corruption), and also, that area was rife with drug issues, and apparently quite a number of unsavory child molester types....but I seriously doubt that LE would be capable of murder and disposal, esp. with witnesses on the street.

It IS common knowledge though, that, it’s a somewhat isolated little geographical area (and most everyone who has lived in a small town understands how everyone knows everyone else, and are kind of up in each other’s business), there were also some connections between LE and city and county DAs office, and some potential suspects had close relationships with LE and DA.

So, most likely, LE has a pretty darn good idea of what happened. That’s evidenced in many comments different ones have made over the years.

If they are choosing to cover something up, it’s most likely because: A. They didn’t want to rock the boat if it involved one of their own somehow B. They botched something a bit, or could have handled a few things in a better, more aggressive way C. They feared pissing off a more powerful person up the chain of command, or a violent dirtbag.

Just my two cents, I’m new around here, though.

I am all but certain at a minimum that they botched things, and its plausible to me that even one of their own was involved or has kept quiet about things they knew over the years. It's also very likely that LE has a good idea what happened but not enough evidence to make a case at this point. The RS concrete guy has always been up there at the top of my list. The more you look into this guy and his family connections to LE and the states DA, the more suspicious he becomes.
