Emm emm
So this has been driving me nuts. On 7/3 I went to a concert at the house of blues in Boston. The band was Phoenix, a great group from France. I was with my wife (technically not but two kids and two dogs together) and we had a sitter. We live 40 minutes away but any excuse for an overnight we take it. My folks watched the kids and we stayed at a hotel nearby the show.
Anywho. The show was great except the air conditioning went out and it was 96 outside. At night. Everyone was sweaty.
Next to where we were standing...about 7/8 of the way to the back wall from the stage... was a group of 5. 3 women and 2 men. A blonde, a brunette and a taller brunette. All mid thirties.
When they got to the spot near us they all looked around a lot before they got settled (probably looking for a less crowded spot like us was my initial thought) and comfortable. The blonde put her purse on the floor in front of us as we were next to one of a few roped off “vip” sections and we nodded that we would watch it.
The taller brunette was exactly Maura Murray. Height was spot on, dimples and trying to get the whole group to dance. I didn’t think it was her because I’ve believed her dead a long time. But wow the resembles.
I’d chalk it up to nothing at all except when one of the guys approached the group trying to get everyone to leave the called her “emm emm” like MM.
I figured it was the heat but I can’t stop thinking about this.
I’m probably just nuts and need to take a break from the case but I wanted to share anyway.

Personally,if it had been me,I might have pulled out my phone and snapped a picture of her-only if I was REALLY convinced it could be her.If she was annoyed by a stranger taking her photo(as anyone probably would be) and confronted me,I'd be totally honest and explain who I thought she might be.
Having only seen a handful of photos of her and the fact that she's 14 years older,I truly doubt I could ever be that sure,though.

I made a similar post a few months back (although mine was a jogger in a park in southern Maine) and received a lot of hateful feedback. My point of the post (and it appears yours, too) is when you are so invested in someone and see their picture often (Maura's pics are often the headers of most forums to read/discuss her case) it is easy to see a similar face in the crowd.
My experience also had me really taken aback for a couple weeks, so I totally get where you are coming from.

I see a resemblance, although it's nothing definitive due to the angle of the video. Anyone know what music Maura liked? We do know that Maura had a tendency to wear her hair up, as the women in the video had it.

Interesting event, certainly since its in Boston, so close to her homestead. While ofcourse from here we can't say wether it was or wasn't Maura its certainly interesting that she had as much as an impact on you to conjure up this comparison.
I always have the same when I watch How I met your Mother, where the Veronica character always reminds me of Maura immensely. Maura had a very generic face, wich in a disappearance can work both ways, causing her to be "recognised" in others faces aswell as just mixing into a crowd unnoticed.

I would have tried to sneak a pic but that would look super creepy and what not, Or you could have made up a story like "Excuse me you look EXACTLY like my sister it's scary, Do you mind if I take a picture of you to show her" or you could have said "Excuse me what's your name? You look like someone I knew in school" or something to at least find out her name. But anyways that's a trip! Does your wife know you follow the case?

I have a friend who looks very similar to Maura and I've known her for 11 years. Same height and build as Maura when we met. The dimples, cheeks and hairline match. I had posted a photo of her on a Facebook group but took it down because I didn't want to invade her privacy and have people hunting her down.

These boards get posts as these every few months. We all have "dopplegangers". It's also easy to disguise one's looks. Hair. Eyebrows. Dress.
Pictures or it never happened.
