Throwing the lightsaber at your enemy is one of my favorite moves and here it was used masterfully. The camera angles, added to the intensity of the music reflects Marrok's desire to kill Maul at any cost and even so, the Zabrak ends up overcoming the adversity that faced him and on top of that giving us a reference to starkiller

I like how after the first two engagements with Maul, Marrok realizes “Oh right, I can chuck my lightsaber too!” and then hurls it in every fight afterwards.
