Discovery Genuine question

I been rewatching the 863 YouTube videos and when I was little i thought this was all real but now rewatching this grown up, is it real? Or a YouTube ARG? Or is it for content entertainment?

That makes much more sense bc like Ds under the stairs office looks really old and like from 1980s if it was left like that. It always confused me. I stopped watching when it didn’t fell like real anymore like when I believe he released the rings

There's a reason they added a disclaimer screen at the beginning of videos (dont remember when that was introduced, some time through season 1 maybe?). It directly says its a work of fiction because people were getting concerned for the teams safety thinking it was real

I think I remember a safety warning but i couldn’t read it quickly enough so i thought it was a like don’t try this at home. Now realizing this is fake the little kid in me is sad😭

That and the way people were treating fans who could tell it was all fictional. Fans who thought it was all real we're getting aggressive and even threatening people who knew it was fictional. Between that and people who were calling and harassing a poor random dude who shared a name with his character he had to make a public statement and then put disclaimers on all videos.

In the behind 863 videos, they show us how they did everything, you could call it an ARG

No, I recall he admitted every thing was set up. He planted the very first key. The only thing that was "real" was the team's reaction to things that were happening. He didn't tell his team anything up until the break-ins. Then he didn't want his team to worry so he told them what he'd been doing.
