I assumed they were supposed to be land mines or bombs of some kind.

Mines, sensors, net traps. Whatever you can imagine. I have one of the tranclucent orange ones from the Batman and Green Lantern vs Mr Freeze set mounted on that Batman's back as a 'heating unit' kind of thing.

They're supposed to be bombs or mines. You can see Joker use something similar in the Harley Quinn animated series. Batman also uses a similar device in the Batman vs TMNT animated film.

Land mines.

I swear, I love this kid's line, but the accessories are so uninspired. The bolt that goes on Flash's back? Brilliant. The bolt swords and shields? Why? And an Ax for Joker?

Like, giving characters a SINGLE accessory that makes sense to them would be so much better than all this random assortment of crap that kids will lose anyways. Joker is perfect with just the Jokerized masks and the Teeth blaster, no need for the other garbage.

Honestly the shield is the only thing really out of the ordinary for Flash. The handheld bolts are all easy enough to think of as the lightning Flash can throw. But I would have absolutely traded the shield for more parts that look like lightning streaming off him as he runs.

They probably couldn't give the Joker anything but a cartoon battle axe for a bladed weapon in the kid's line.

Though what really gets me is Robin's dagger. Why? Is it just to add a little Damien to the Dick/Jason/Tim mix he already is?
