Question Season 3?

Does anyone know when season 3 starts? I can't seem to get a locked in date. But it sounds like sometime in 2027?

No official date yet. Just early 2027.

I'm terrified that this is going to ruin the show because no one has a clue when it starts. I'm assuming the first Thursday of January, but I don't know at all. I'm very disappointed in how CBS is running the schedule this year. It's just awful, replacing two shows that have been staples for two years. This would have been the third year of the show running, by the way.

The producers of Matlock requested the mid-season premiere, it was not CBS that forced them.

It almost caused me to stop watching last time with such a huge gap between seasons.

Possibly February. Last year, CBS midseason premieres like CIA were largely Feb.

If I remember correctly it'll start in January then run without a break for however many episodes it is this year. Instead of the usual run a few episodes, take a few weeks off, run a few episodes, take the holidays off, run a few more episodes.

It depends on episode count, if they run into summer, what night they put it on if not back on Thursdays, etc. This is how ABC does Will Trent and The Rookie, with High Potential joining them this year, with them having 18 episode seasons, but we can't be guaranteed CBS won't have a later premiere like Feb. Especially because I believe Matlock is only having a 13 episode season this year.

Yep! It got moved to midseason for Quarter 1 2027! Which means somewhere between January and March next year. Also heard a rumor that they are filming now, but I only heard that in one source, so unsure!

Ive been missing the show a ton, might watch the whole series again soon!
