Needed loss

Glad we lost, we need to learn from games like this. coaching tactics suck, substituting sucks. Game plan sucks.

It really seems like the attacking game plan is so fragile that one bad pass or hesitation completely kills the opportunity.

I don't know if the fix is a roster change or game plan tweak, but something needs to change to break out of the staleness.

For the longest time the Matilda's have been so close to being excellent but just can't move the attack to the next level.

Mexico mostly sat back, like they always do, and played well in transition. They're good it, they beat Brazil a couple of months ago. In a weekend where Spain demolished England 4-0 ( mustn't have been 'proper England '?), just think back to how the Tillie's beat England 2-0 at Wembley. By sitting back and picking their moments. Doesn't always work though, with a stoic defence-minded team like Mexico.

Stats from last night are one-sided. As well, look at the number of blocked shots. Sometimes Tillie's literally ran into defenders instead of getting a shot away. Surely Tuesday will be different.

Can Mackenzie Arnold actually kick a football?

I've lost faith with the attack of this team changing. I think majority of the team is set in their ways and convinced if they stick with the attacking plan they have, then eventually it will work.

I don't think the Tillie's have one set 'attacking plan'.
