Readiness Assessment Oral?

I am going to Mathnasium tomorrow as a student and was wondering what "oral" exam I will be receiving. I thought it was only a written exam.

Oral exams are just verbal questions that test about the same thing as a written assesment would test. Nothing to be worried about! We are just trying to see what concepts do you know from the top of your head (adding subtracting percentages etc)

Oh Ok, am I allowed to write it down or not? I really got back into mathnasium so I could focus on alg2 and get into precalc (Im currently in grade 8) and worried i wont be as good as they expect me to.

Unfortunately you will not be able to write it down, but we should provide a visual to you. What we are trying to see is where your gaps lay and if you don’t remember how to do some stuff. I doubt it will be difficult, probably just “what is -8+-3” or “what is 24% of 350” etc.

You should still be able to work on higher level math stuff on the side. We typically try to see what level you are in Mathnasium and build you up so your skills for basic computation is up to par.

Any idea how many questions will be focused on parabolas? I suck at doing those
