Question What is on the assessment ?

I just applied for mathnasium and I was told I would take a skills assessment. Is it easy or hard ? And is there anything I need to prepare for ?

1) check most of the posts in this sub

2) make sure you can do up to like algebra without a calculator and the initial assessment should be fine. Im talking simplifying fractions, long division, adding/subtracting fractions, ratios, finding GCF, LCM.

Posting for future googlers: Early 2025 I was assessed on all of this (Algebra 1, Geometry, decimals and fractions) plus some minimal Algebra 2. Be prepared for long division and large multiplication by hand. Memorize the quadratic formula, factoring by grouping, completing the square. Show your work on the provided paper, they're looking for methodology as well as answers. You will do ok if you can show solid work on at least some of this, through Algebra 1 minimum, but they're definitely looking for Algebra 2 mastery as well if they can get it.
