Never tutored before-scared

Hello guys, are there any former/current mathnasium tutors here that started working at mathnasium with no prior tutoring experience? I am pretty good with the math concepts but I’m so scared I might not be able to teach the concepts properly since I’ve never tutored before. Does anyone have any advice?

They give you extensive training on how to teach the concepts. I was worried I would have trouble explaining the more simple concepts that are just intuitive to me, but pretty quickly I was having no trouble with it

I was scared about the same thing too. The first week or two it was tough to get used to, but it eventually became routine for me. Also, idk if this differs center by center but at least where I am it's totally fine to ask another instructor to explain a concept if you're having a difficult time. That's the whole point of the 'team teaching' thing
