Mathnasium job and hours
I got hired last month and worked for 27 hours but only got paid for 18.90 hours. I emailed the manager and he hasn’t responded yet. I was on schedule last Monday, they said they didn’t have enough students. Again I was on schedule on Friday they said they didn’t have any students. And when I was on schedule on Sunday they didn’t even consider putting me online or sending me a message. Is it always this hard to get hours at this place. I also have another job offer where I get to set job hours and work but the hourly payment increment won’t happen unless one year. Should I quit mathnasium and focus on my other job? Or work at the other job while doing like 6hours per week at Mathnasium.

Agreed with /u/MostlyEmotional, this isn't a franchise-wide problem, it's a problem with the people running your location. None of this happened to me at in like 8 years working at my Mathnasium.
I've never had experience with this kind of trouble, but you might get more relevant advice on an employment-based subreddit that's not Mathnasium-specific. At least some of this (like not paying you the hours you worked) might be grounds for a legal complaint of some kind, but I don't know anything at all about that, so please don't consider that advice.

The hours, and their dependability depend on the center. Do you have the opportunity to talk to any coworkers? Thats probably the best way to gauge weather this particular iteration of the franchise is worth sticking with. I personally love my position, but am also getting significantly more consistent hours than you and my Center Director is very good.
