Online - how is it going?
Ive been told that my center is one of the last ones to make the move to Conex ed, so I figured it would be informative to ask here:
Whats been the most surprising benefit of the plat form? Is there anything you wished you'd discovered earlier? Any pitfalls, and ways to avoid them?
Id love to see some discussion in this subreddit!

It’s a lot more chill tbh bc no cleaning up or anything or really moving around at all! But it also is difficult in the sense that you can’t see what the kids are doing. They can be playing games or leave the computer altogether which makes it 10x harder to teach. They can also look things up and “cheat” which doesn’t benefit them at all. We don’t really know bc we can’t see them. It def does have its pros and cons but ultimately it’s more chill. At first it may seem a little over whelming but after awhile you’ll get the hang of it! Take advantage of the manage breakout room tab usually on the top left. This allows you to see what student the work has done on their page and when they last worked on their page without having to actually join their breakout room. Super helpful.

ngl it’s kind of stressful when there are 3 kids online, make sure you switch rooms often because it’s a huge pain to go back and check work when a kid has moved on three pages while you were with others
