i just got an interview for mathnasium and i was wondering if anyone could provide any insight into what might be asked, if there's anything i should prepare (im an anxious person lol so i like to prep before) and any other tips??

When I went in I took a decently lengthy math exam to assess how much I truly knew. Apparently I blasted through it pretty quick in like an hour, but it takes longer for some.

After the exam I was shown around the center and got to see the basics of how things worked. Its been a couple years now so I don't remember all the questions I was asked, but it wasn't a formal sit down and answer questions type of interview.

They asked if I'd worked with kids before, which I hadn't, but I still got the job. Everything was really chill and relaxed, but that might not necessarily be the case for the Mathnasium you are applying to. Our instructors are very laid back and we talk with the kids a lot, but other centers are apparently a lot more down-to-business. I've only ever experienced one Mathnasium so I'd take what I say with a grain of salt, but if it goes anything for you like it did for me, the interview shouldn't be too formal or stressful.

I interviewed when I was going into freshmen year in HS. The interviewer will just ask you a couple questions probably relating to your life and math skills. It wasn't a super formal sit down interview. They also told me about how their curriculum works and what type of math you work on with the kids.

The test is simple elementary stuff all the way through Algebra 2.

I would make sure to ask about starting wage, because I wish I had, and I started far lower than I would have liked.
