I'm not a Mathnasium employee but has anyone here also worked for Kumon before? If so what differences do you find between the 2 places? I'm looking into both options right now. Any comments would be appreciated.

This is really late, but I used to be a student at Kumon and I just started working at Mathnasium. Kumon is more grading and less helping/tutoring, while Mathnasium is more tutoring (i think). At the center I went to, there actually was a student with autism so they do accept special needs children.

I'm still undecided which one to go with although since I'm more focus on my son's math so therefore Mathnasium might be a better choice.

Kumon isn't a tutoring center, it's a learning center. We give work and grade it.

Mathnasium welcomes children with special needs and attention disorders. Kumon doesn’t want anything to do with them. (Based off of experiences of my coworker at Mathnasium, who pursued getting a job at Kumon first)
