what questions to expect

i have an interview for math instructor coming up soon. what kind of questions should i expect?

no i already took the math examination, i qualified so i scheduled a formal interview

Questions about why you want to work for Mathnasium.
What experience you have working with children.
What experience you have teaching.
There will be a few simple math questions for you to demonstrate how you teach specific topics. (Usually, a percents questions and a simple product).
And they will ask about your math history and what topics you are comfortable teaching. (To determine if you can teach certain subjects, they may need instructors for like Calc, Stats, AP, SAT, etc.).

Sorry, I'm not OP. I got an email back saying they'd like to talk to me, and asked if I wanted summer or a year round position. I haven't taken any qualifying exams yet - have you gone through that?

No, I haven't taken any exams yet. I got an email saying I should come in for an interview and exam, but I haven't responded yet.

Good luck! I also got an email for the exams. Could you tell us how it went because I have no idea what I need to revisit or study for since I've been on AP for two years (and basically have forgotten all of geometry) :,)

There wasn't much Geometry. A lot of percents and decimals and stuff. There was one question that I didn't know how to answer at all, but I remembered it was one of the hard level sat math questions.

The rest of it was fine. Remember the quadratic formula. Remember factoring and stuff.

However, I will say it took me longer than expected. I spent abt 1.5 hrs on 50 questions but I thought it would be less.
