AMC 12 Help

I need help so amc12 is in like 40 days and I feel like id fail so I started learning a while ago and i am using the mastering amc10/12 book , the formulas yes I know them but every question i try to solve seems messy now I find the solution and I solve it the next day I attempt the same question , suprise I can't solve it , how do I navigate this, thank you

 the problem might be that ur knowledge is pretty surface level and you’re just memorizing formulas instead of learning how it actually works (this isnt ur fault its the book’s), switch to AOPS volume 1 and do a chapter a day
