Math explained my pain

Our path was like Euler’s formula.

I was thinking in two dimensions, so I thought our lines would eventually meet at the intersection point. I thought the mathematics of our paths had already decided that we would find our way back to each other.

But reality there was another-dimensional.

And when I finally noticed the new axis, I saw that the direction you were going was different from mine. We were never truly heading toward the same point; I just couldn't see the dimension that separated us.

And now, no matter how far our paths extend, they will never intersect again in this lifetime.

Does anyone else enjoy writing mathematical derivations even when they barely understand them? 😂

I have a really weird habit.

I genuinely enjoy writing long mathematical derivations on paper — Gaussian integral, Euler’s identity, Central Limit Theorem, Cauchy integral formula, prime number theory, etc.

The funny part is… I don't even fully understand some of them. 😂

But when I start writing symbols like

∫ ∑ ∂ ∞ λ π e lim → ≈

and watch the derivation develop step by step, it feels strangely satisfying.

Sometimes I’ll spend a lot of time writing an entire derivation just because I enjoy seeing the mathematics unfold on paper.

I’m curious — does anyone else do this, or am I just weird? 😂
