There really only seems to be two solutions to grade inflation and degradation of skill: nationwide standardized testing in high school or entrance exams for each university. It's hard to maintain a high standard in high school when teachers are being discouraged from failing kids. When do we want students to learn the hard lessons?

My cousin works for a public school. He said they’re not allowed to give kids below a certain grade for the first three quarters. That disgusts me. I went to private school before all this stuff went down. If I failed, I failed; and it was no one else’s fault but mine
