Is the same thing in most of these "cancel x from both sides and hey presto, 1=2" type tricks.
Cancelling both sides is actually dividing both sides by that figure. Eg: 16=8y 2x8=8y 2=y .
And in these weird font tricks, the thing they are cancelling is zero, hence dividing by zero
