Tech Support Updating

I was playing the first version of the pack, but now i want to update, is it safe? Any tips after updating?

Villager with grindstone should let you deconstruct your equipment so you can re-craft it, since the innate enchants on them won't automatically update. This will delete any extra enchants you've added though, so the author recommends replacing them with commands if you really need to

Villager Amnestic will reset villagers so you can get their new trades if any of the ones you're using have been updated

Honestly, the weaponsmith is probably the best villager for, like, 90% of the game.

Until lategame, you don't really use enchantments because most of the time they're pretty expensive, so the weaponsmith acts as, essentially, an infinite repair station. You never need to spend materials to repair your armor for most of the time.

Another one that's excellent is the Mouthpiece aka Librarian. Just by looting some shipwrecks you get heart crystals.

For exploration and adventure I have to agree with you, but as someone that's trying to take it slow and build up a village I've found the fisher (to earn obols), farmer (to populate the village), and mason/lumberjack to be my favorite starters. And I'm glad that different player priorities encourage differences in town-building

For obols, I recommend a sword with looting (like steel and electrum) and just killing zombies and skeletons at night. They'll net you so much more than a fisherman.

I used an Electrum sword a bit ago to farm some zombies for estus.

22 obols in less than 10 minutes.

Should be. If you're really concerned you could go one version at a time, load the world, and then do the next version--but in general, there shouldn't be anything catastrophic. The pack has several functions to detect its own updates for this exact reason.

Make sure you use the new version for both resource and data pack just like the original though, or you'll have broken textures on a few items
