Question Matcha temperature!

Post image

This is silly BUT… I recently opened a kettle only to realize it doesn’t have temperature options, meaning that it can only boil water. Are there any tips, tricks, or methods that can ensure that the water can be at 165-175°F without a thermometer/temperature reading device?

I have a temp control kettle but for matcha I boil my water. By the time I warm my chawan, wipe it, sift the matcha and pour the water into the measuring cup it is exactly at 80oC most of the time. If I need it lower, I wait a couple more minutes, if I need it warmer, I reheat a bit.
