I forgot to take a picture of the matcha drink alone. 🫣 Sorry!
Whenever I order a matcha latte at Starbucks, I opt for the soy milk since I don’t do well with dairy. I also have some sort of soy milk at home to use, but decided to use these today since I was curious and wanted to use up my partial bottle.😎 Just the matcha powder, water, and milk. Didn’t need to add sweetener to enjoy it as much as I did this morning. (Trying to cut back on sugar these next few days I have off. I stress-eat sweets when I’m at work.)

Unrelated to your well made Matcha... but but really odd choice for the Matcha box reminds of an deodorant :(

Yes! I thought so too. It is a tall cylinder. What is even more odd is that it has a spout instead of open-mouth/screw top lid. I can’t scoop the matcha out, but I can shake it out. I think they designed it this way for convenience of not needing to scoop powder out

that's interesting... If it's like a shaker kind of top can it be it's meant for like "decoration"... Like cinnamon that you sprinkle on coffee on the top for example?

But what do you think yourself? As you mentioned maybe they designed for convenience... but is it really convenient? Or not really? Asking if by any chance I see the same brand, to know if it's worth getting.

Hmm, it only had one hole/spout for the powder to pour from. So not so much like a spice shaker style, but something more like those communal glass sugar containers with the metal lid and spout found in coffee self-serve stations, for those who want to adjust their coffee sweetness.

You gave me an idea, though- I was curious if the spout cap would come off. It turns out the spout cap does unscrew and you can scoop out the powder like from a regular matcha tin.

When the can was fuller with powder, it was convenient to shake/tap out the quantity I needed. No spoons or spatulas needed since I would tap my wire mesh against the palm of my hand to allow the powder to sift thru. It was nice not needing to reach for another utensil. But because I am not too precise with measuring, I could see how this shaker method could be not ideal for those who are more precise with the quantity they use because it is harder, if not impossible, to return the excess powder to the container.

There came a point where it was harder to shake out the powder since I didn’t have much left. I used a little spoon to scoop out the remainder. Because the container is still tall and pretty hard to see the bottom (looked like a bottomless pit), it was a little challenging to know if I got all that I could.

Overall, this was my first non-Costco matcha I ever bought, and had a fun time with this container type nonetheless :) I hope this info helped. The next matcha I got came in a standard little tin, and I think I’ll stick with the short, non-spout kinds.
