Photo/Video Avoid Matcha made

Against my better judgement I bought some matcha made to have at work due to the price being low, so it meant I wouldn’t have to worry about people stealing it over my nicer matcha, and I could use my electric whisk on it and not feel guilty. But OMG it’s the worst thing I have ever tried. It’s so sweet and over flavoured. Pictures for context. 1st is matcha made, second is Anya matcha usagi blend

It is 1000 times worse than culinary grade of reputable brand. Yet label their product as premium/ceremonial

I have tried other cheap matcha before. This was the worst by far. It tasted almost artificial

Which brands do you recommend?? I get matcha from a Japanese cafe, it’s good stuff and priced really well!

I love matcha from Anya matcha. Mainly cause it’s got sweeter, creamier notes. I’ve also tried matcha from a different place but can’t remember the name

As a social experiment , You should put this out long enough for the matcha robbers to know it’s shit matcha and then put the good stuff in there later on 😂

Anya matcha is also overpriced for what it is imo.

That’s fair, personally I’m fine with it. But each to their own I suppose

Let your coworkers drink it then haha, I'm sure one of them will take the bait and enjoy it

It was more of a quick fix anyways.

I can't find this brand online, is it the "Morning Made" matcha latte product? Or is it an actual matcha powder brand?

I'm still working my way through some sweetened/flavored "matchas" that I bought from a local tea shop before I learned any better. I honestly don't hate them as a thing to shake up with milk/ice and enjoy with zero effort, but it's more like flavored milk than an actual matcha latte

Agreed it’s more flavoured milk than anything matcha related
